It's been almost two years since Ian passed away leaving Mary, Jack and Mackenzie as well as the rest of us with a deep sense of loss, and we are certainly still struggling to come to terms with a world without Ian.

As you might expect from knowing her, Mackenzie has been amazingly strong and resilient in the face of the challenges she’s been dealt, and if you’ve been keeping up with the kids of Facebook, you’ll see just how amazing.

While Mackenzie and the kids are doing well, she is back in school and there are financial demands that are very hard to meet at this time. There was an incredibly generous outpouring of financial support in the wake of Ian’s passing but it’s going to take a little more to get them through the next few years. Mackenzie would never ask (so we’re doing it for her) but there is an opportunity here for those of us whose lives were positively impacted by Ian, to step up, and honor his greatest legacy, his family, by helping Mackenzie, Mary and Jack while they work to restart their lives.
